they weep and gnash their teeth. there’s a portal out of this realm but you’ll have to destroy me. wrap me warm in cloth and beat me up. my floor’s made of wood and it splinters my foot like a path into my bad moods. i need to think, and i could, then a blow, then i couldn’t. i die in the world my dad created. there is a free bottle of pop when you’re forsaken. can’t watch you split the moon. i won’t be around to make you frown and not show a single tooth. there’s no answers in the punk rock tune. i can’t lie on the floor for a night without war, i will color all my dreams with gore. i need to believe, and i could, then you leave, and i couldn’t. the city and the girls all leave their tshirts. with tincture on their breath and sad commercials. there is a redeemed world that’s rid clean of me. she wipes a tear and says, “i’m finally happy.”
